A. No. The Truncheon Meter is designed to give accurate readings until the batteries are fully exhausted. The Truncheon Meter will give accurate readings until the batteries have insufficient power to light the LED's. Expect up to two years battery life with normal use when using quality standard batteries, alkaline batteries will last longer. Remove all batteries if the Truncheon Meter is not in use for 6 months or longer. Remove and replace all batteries when discharged or any corrosion / swelling is evident.
